The issue of taxis and the related professions is a regular subject of acrimonious debate in politics in the Canton of Geneva. I am pleased to have succeeded in bringing about the passing of a law that considerably modernizes our individual mobility services. The principal accomplishment in the new legislation is the adoption of one single category for taxis and other services providing vehicles for hire with a driver, such as Uber.
